An easy way to remember this is 30 minutes at least 5 days a week, but three periods of 10 minutes of activity are so beneficial to your overall fitness as a 30-minute session. This is feasible! Physical activity can also help encourage spending some time outdoors.

Too much sitting and other sedentary activities may increase your risk of cardiovascular disease. One study showed that adults who spend more than 4 hours of TV a day had a 46% risk of death from any cause and an increased risk of 80% of death from cardiovascular disease.

Being more active can help lower blood pressure and increase your levels of good cholesterol.

Physical activity prolongs their optimal health.
