Regular Physical Activity Can Add Years to Your Life

You want to add years to your life?

The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week. An easy way to remember this is 30 minutes at least 5 days a week, but three periods of 10 minutes of activity are so beneficial to your overall fitness as a 30-minute session. This is feasible! Physical activity can also help encourage spending some time outdoors.

Here are some reasons why physical activity has been shown to improve mental and physical health.

Physical activity improves physical well-being.

Reduced risk factors

Too much sitting and other sedentary activities may increase your risk of cardiovascular disease. One study showed that adults who spend more than 4 hours of TV a day had a 46% risk of death from any cause and an increased risk of 80% of death from cardiovascular disease.

Being more active can help lower blood pressure and increase your levels of good cholesterol.

Physical activity prolongs their optimal health.

Without regular physical activity, the body slowly loses its strength, endurance and ability to work well. People who are physically active and at a healthy weight about 7 years longer than those who are not active and are obese live.

In addition to the health benefits mentioned above, moderate exercise, such as brisk walking, may have other health benefits, such as:
